Bulky furniture doesn't really go with the slim profile of a large flat panel display. Luckily, the engineers at OmniMount have come up with the OmniMount ECSB. It's a cool looking component TV wall mount bracket with a streamlined, single arm design and swiveling glass shelf. And despite its fragile appearance it is surprisingly sturdy. You might think that a glass shelf perched on top of a swiveling arm is just asking for trouble, especially when expensive electronics are involved. To help assuage your fears OmniMount have incorporated 10mm tempered glass and heavy gauge steel for a load rating of 30lbs. And the generous shelf dimensions mean it can accommodate just about any component with room to spare. The ECSB is not suitable for a conventional CRT TV and you should also be aware that the shelf protrudes quite a way from the wall. This is necessary to allow the arm to swing left and right about 20°. This movement is sensitive and the arm has a tenancy to slide around when accidentally bumped. You can reduce this somewhat by tightening the arm's mounting bolt at the hinge. If you want your home theater setup to garner some 'wow' above and beyond the display screen, the super-sleek, see-through OmniMount ECS-B, is sure to entice.
