The Videosecu MF602B is about as bare bones as TV wall mounts get. Consisting of a rectangular frame that bolts to your wall and two vertical adapter brackets that screw to the back of your TV, this mount clearly adopts the minimalist approach to hanging a flat screen TV.

But don't let the spartan design fool you. For the price this is one of the best TV mounts out there. It's sturdy, a snap to install and costs about the same as a large pizza. Now, if that doesn't make your mouth water, we don't know what would.

But it doesn't stop there. The wall plate frame is wide enough to accommodate 24" studs. If you have non-standard stud spacing this can be a real life saver. Simply locate your studs with a stud finder and you're ready to go. No need to mess with cross bracing or opening up a section of wall.

For those with the more common 16" studs the extra width of the wall plate allows you to attach the mount either side of the center line by several inches. Since most walls do not have their studs conveniently centered this feature gives you greater control in positioning the TV screen so that it hangs in the middle of the wall and not to one side. Perfectionists can breath easy.

Additional lateral adjustment is also available even after the wall plate has been attached. The TV adapter brackets have top and bottom hooks that slide over horizontal rails on the wall plate. You should be able to to slide the screen left or right along the rails by several inches. The amount of adjustment will largely depend on the width of the mount hole pattern in your TV.

One word of caution. If your TV screen is less than 40", and especially if it's 32" or less, be aware that the wall plate might protrude from either side of the TV when viewed from the front. Measure the outside dimensions of your screen (not the diagonal screen size) to make sure the wall plate will be hidden.

The Videosecu MF602B is a simple no-nonsense TV wall mount that gets the job done with the minimum of effort. If you don't need all the bells and whistles it's a great choice. As they say, just set it and forget it.
