Product Summary
The Cheetah APSAMB articulating TV wall mount weighs in at a hefty 27lbs of solid steel and has a load rating of up to 165lbs. It has a low 4" profile when folded and can extend up to 27". Depending on the width of your display it can pan (swivel) up to 150° and tilt forward up to 20°. It can support any screen with mounting hole patterns up to 27.7" horizontally and 19" vertically. This encompasses virtually all 32" to 55" displays.

The wall plate is specifically designed for installation to standard 16" on-center studs so check your stud spacing before you order. If you're mounting to brick you're good to go.

The wall plate has two cable management openings, one small circular on the left and a larger central square aperture. Make sure you allow for long enough cables to reach the rear of the display when the mount is at its maximum extension.

Just like the VideoSecu MP27B this mount has a single arm design and, unfortunately, comes with the same shortcomings. When fully extended there is a noticeable sag, especially for the larger/heavier TV sizes.

The vertical mounting brackets can compensate for this to some degree, but this usually means choosing between a level TV in either the folded or extended position, but not both. If you only plan to use the extension to gain access to the rear of the display this will not be a problem. But for the perfectionists out there we recommend a dual arm design to balance out the load (most mounts in this size range are dual arm).

The front plate that the TV hangs from is 30" wide and is designed to allow the TV mounting brackets to slide a few inches left or right. This is handy to center the TV on the wall if the studs are off center but will exacerbate the sagging problem (see above). When you're satisfied with the lateral alignment there are two safety screws to lock the TV in place.

Installation is simple enough with the hardest part being locating the wall studs. Use a quality stud finder and bubble level to make sure everything is lined up before you start drilling. The mount comes with a reasonable selection of mounting hardware that should fit most TVs, although the included instructions are a little sparse. If in doubt consult a professional installer.

The Cheetah APSAMB single arm articulating TV wall mount is ideally suited for the latest light weight LCD panels, or any big screen TV enthusiast that needs quick and uncluttered access for upgrades and servicing.
