Product Summary
Unibrak and not very well known in the home theater world, but this could be about to change with their UNB-550 articulated TV wall mount.

The UNB-550 is clearly aimed at the big screen market, ideally anything over 50". With a load rating of 200lbs you can literally do pull-ups, even with the arms fully extended. It's made of heavy gauge steel and weighs a ton.

Strangely, the front assembly that connects to the back of the TV can be removed and you are then left with a standard VESA adapter plate with spacing as small as 100x100. We doubt anyone would buy a mount of this size to hold such a small screen, but it's there if you need it.

This unconventional design approach is also evident in the wall plate. It can can accommodate stud spacing from 12"-24". If you've ever tried to mount a 16" plate on 24" studs this feature alone is reason enough to get this mount. We also liked the generous slot widths. You get plenty of lateral adjustment to center the wall plate on the wall and still have the bolts dead center on the studs.

If you find yourself with a misaligned screen, there is a small 'roll' adjustment that can correct minor leveling problems.

The UNB-550 comes with a huge amount of mounting hardware that is meticulously labeled 'A', 'B', 'C', etc. Unfortunately the spartan documentation makes no reference to this, so it takes some trial and error to figure out which pieces are needed in each step.

Included in the kit are some plastic covers for hiding the cables. They work well and look nice, but the retention clips are flimsy and easily break.

The Unibrak UNB-550 TV wall mount is well engineered and solid as a rock. You get an extra wide wall plate for non-standard stud spacing and a generous 33" extension, one of the largest we've seen. You might not have heard of Unibrak before, but with innovative designs like this you soon will.

Special Note:
If you're planning on ordering this mount you should be aware that there are several different versions all sold under the same model number. The main differences are in the design of the wall plate and also the front assembly. The picture shown here is an example only.
